As the tulips are blooming, I wake up to the sound of birds chirping, and my lawn seems to double in height every 30minutes – I’m reminded daily that the seasons are changing. Although it would be nice to sleep in past 6:30am, I miss those chirping birds in the winter months. And as much as I complained about snow in February, come October, I’ll be anxiously awaiting the first flurries.
As I listened to the birds this morning and contemplated the seasons we experience in Pennsylvania, I started to think about the seasons of change teams go through. I thought about the impact of growing virtual teams and what it will be like returning to work. The jumble of questions that started bouncing around my mind led me to my next journal club find!
This article focuses on Tuckman and Jensen’s model of group development and includes references on the impact of group development specific to virtual teams.
I hope you enjoy this article as much as I did!
